Has this therapy been clinically evaluated by studies?

A total of 26 published clinical studies can be found on Pubmed, the database of all clinical studies, investigating the use of Platelet Rich Plasma for Skin Rejuvenation. The vast majority of these studies showed that injections of Platelet Rich Plasma in the skin resulted in an improvement in wrinkles, skin texture and tone.

In 2016 Elnehrawy et al investigated the results of a single injection of Platelet Rich Plasma in the patients skin in 20 patients. After 8 weeks the results were assessed and there was significant improvement in fine lines as well as deeper nasolabial folds.

Redaelli et all investigated in 2010 the effectiveness of three Platelet Rich Plasma injections that were spaced one month apart from each other. The results were evaluated one month after the last session and showed that 83% of all patents rated their overall skin tone better and 87% confirmed that they found their overall look to have improved.
